• Director General Adjunto at Imacop Tour Corporation

  January 2000 - March 2010

  ? Responsible for all Marketing, IT, CRM, Social Media and web based programs and strategic planning activities for Mexico largest regional tour operator in central Mexico with 2009 revenues in excess of US$40mm. ? Provided travel related services from over 1,000 hotels and service providers to a network of 5,000 independent travel agents in 7 central Mexican states. ? Controlled 5 regional offices with over 200 full time employees and was primarily responsible for designing and implementing a computer based SAP type platform for integrating all business activities of the company in a single system. Designed and led the company's initiatives for integration into an internet based environment as these developed and became important during the 2000's including web based presence and interface, web based interfacing with hotels and travel agents, extranet access capabilities, web based reservation systems, real-time CRM call center management systems, social media programs and benefit programs. Started this company in 2000 based only on prior experience in the hotel industry, grew it to a leading market position and sold my shareholding to my partners in 2010. ? Hands on responsibility for marketing, originating and distributing a wide variety of syndicated loans including a US$2.0B Bankers Acceptance Facility for PEMEX, the Mexican national oil company which at the time was the largest loan of its type ever syndicated in the International financial markets. ? After the Mexican financial meltdown in 1985, participated in the Mexico Bank Steering Committee in New York responsible for restructuring all Mexican Public Sector debt with over 1,000 banks worldwide. ? Subsequently, was responsible for restructuring the debt of several key Mexican corporations which involved the development and approval of new strategic business plans for each, and a restructure of their debt portfolios to restore corporate viability. ? Left the bank to start my own hotel operation in 1989.
